Episode 37 (Epilogue): Paternally Yours

Tonight, we welcomed three fathers into the studio to celebrate Father's Day with another edition of Paternally Yours. We also heard from Janel Mirendah, maker of the film The Other Side of the Glass. Watch the trailer here:

Then we heard from Jack Baker, course facilitator for the Nurturing Dads Initiative, a weekly ten week course that is absolutely free to our community. The next series begins on Monday June 18th, and classes are every Monday evening through August 13th from 6:00pm to 8:30pm. Childcare and refreshments are provided. Jack also mentioned the website  AllProDad.com, the website created by football coach Tony Dungy, where dads can find encouragement, ideas, information and videos.  

We were fortunate to have two local fathers in the studio with us, Thomas Morgan and Gene Burgess. We found it interesting that both of them cited the lack of the use of a television as one of the reasons they are able to spend quality time together.Thomas mentioned Penelope Leach's book "Your Baby and Child: From Birth to Age Five," and its message to treat the child as a whole person.
